Guys and gals, do you love your skin but don’t have time or inclination to buy different creams or face packs packed with vitamins and antioxidants?

No problemo.

We bring you the best skin lightening ingredient — Tomato.

And show you how to make a face mask from it.

But first, why is the red tomato so good for our skin:

Tomatoes contain lycopene, a strong antioxidant, that protects against sun damage and aging problems such as fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, tomatoes are slightly acidic in nature, a feature that flushes out excess oils from the skin.

Here’s a list of nutrients present in this oft-neglected vegetable:

Vitamin A — which smoothens rough skin, erases blemishes and dark spots

B-Vitamins — which fights free radicals that damage skin cells

Vitamin C — which reduce acne and scars, deep-cleanse pores and lighten skin

Potassium — which moisturizes dry skin

Calcium — which heals damaged skin cells

Magnesium — which slows down aging and makes your skin glow

Yeah, tomato is an excellent veggie that works wonders on all skin types. Here are face pack recipes reconciled with your skin type:
